BlackBerry Curve 8530 Official OS Available.

It seems it’s been a while since I posted the latest official BlackBerry operating system release, but today we have the official BlackBerry OS for the BlackBerry Curve 8530 go officially available from Verizon Wireless according to the guys over at crackberry.

They say the Big Red has been spot on with this BlackBerry OS update while others such as Android have been experiencing OS delay problems, so at least BlackBerry Curve 8530 users can be happy they now have this one available.

Hopefully the reported BlackBerry Tour OS/PTT update will go just as smoothly and without any hitches as this update for the BlackBerry Curve 8530 has done.

Of course as this is an official BlackBerry OS update for the BlackBerry Curve 8530 from Verizon, we can dispense with out usual disclaimer.

  1. downloaded the update and now the calender does not open on the curve. just freezes the screen when an attempt is made. anyone else have that issue or know how to solve it?

The new update removes the ability to assign the screen lock to either convenience key but instead forces you to use the Asterik to lock the keyboard and the mute button to unlock it. Not very convenient!
