Samsung Galaxy S Heading for AT&T?

Back at CTIA we first got a look at the new Samsung Galaxy S smartphone but since then Samsung has been quite tight lipped at just which carrier would get to offer the Samsung Galaxy S, reports an article over on intomobile.

However according to mobile crunch, the word is that the Samsung Galaxy S may be on its way to the Big Blue AT&T network, or a device like the Samsung Galaxy S anyway.

Spec wise, apparently the Bluetooth SIG has certified that a Samsung handset sports a 4 inch AMOLED display, Android OS, supports quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity which is AT&T bands and has TouchWiz 3.0, which basically sounds like the Samsung Galaxy S.

Although the Bluettoth SIG do call the Samsung smartphone the Samsung 1897 whereas the Samsung Galaxy S is the 19000, and basically it’s all n the model number and thus they assume this is the Samsung Galaxy S destined for AT&T.
