The word is that Samsung along with Sprint are currently working on a successor to the Samsung Moment smartphone which according to an unconfirmed report, the Samsung Moment2 will have a great deal in common with the Samsung Moment but will feature an updated OS and design reports brighthand.

According to the report the Samsung Moment2 will feature a slider form factor with a slide out landscape keyboard and extra buttons to its facia as depicted in the leaked Samsung Moment2 picture.

Word also has it that the Samsung Moment2 will sport the same AMOLED display as the original Samsung Moment and not the new Samsung Super AMOLED display which is a bit of a disappointment to say the least.

As for the operating system, well apparently the Samsung Moment2 will make its debut carrying Android 2.1 OS and a new version of Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, and word is the Samsung Moment2 will go with the same carrier of the Samsung Moment that being Sprint which is fairly obvious considering the handset sports the Sprint logo, although no word on any release date as yet.
