Made for iPhone Trademark Applied for by Apple

Making sure that Apple has control over everything and anything to do with Apple, the US Patent & Trademark Office published Apples latest trademark application on the 5th of May 2010 reports an article over on patently apple.

The Apple trademark application is for “Made for iPhone,” under app 85025627 and under the sole International Class 009 which covers a “Full line of electronic and mechanical parts and fittings for handheld computers and portable and handheld digital electronic devices.”

Apple intends to use the mark on commerce or in connection with the identified goods and service and thus asserts a claim of priority based on Jamaica application number 54849 which was filed on the 23rd of November 2009.

So there you go; the “Made for iPhone” trademark now going under the Apple umbrella and no doubt something Apple will be keeping a very close eye on the use of.
