Transparent X-Ray Phone in Japan: Would You Like One?

So how would you like to own a flip phone that you could see inside of? Would you like to own a mobile phone that was transparent? Well it appears that one such device is going to be offered in Japan by KDDI brand’s iida range.

According to an article over on Gizmodo by Kat Hannaford, Tokuijin Yoshioka, a Japanese designer has come up with the X-ray phone that will be on sale in Japan, and is constructed in polycarbonate with glass fibre which apparently delivers its “retro-futuristic look.”

The X-ray phone sports a 7 x 102 dot matrix LED strip that shows who is calling along with the time and messages, there’s also an 8 megapixel camera in there along with 1-Seg TV tuner and the device is also said to be NFC payment compatible.

No word on just how much the X-ray phone will set a person back or if it will ever make it out of Japan but does this sleek transparent handset make you want to nip on over to Japan and purchase one?
