Many Teens Text All Night Long: Lose Sleep or Phones?

Now I am far from being a teen but text messaging is more used than calling, in fact I would personally send about 20 to 30 text messages a day on some occasions and weekends even more, got to admit though my phone goes off at night when it is time for bed.

This seems a very different case for teenagers because many teens text all night long according to a report over on MSNBC, we just want to say thanks to Product Reviews for the heads up on this news because it is somewhat interesting to see how addictive mobile phones can be.

Throughout the month teens send text messages through the night and teens would rather lose sleep than their mobile phones, according to a recent study by JFK Medical Center, in Edison, N.J teens send an average of 34 texts a night, which is a staggering 3,400 a month, some text four hours after they have gone to bed.

This is quite daunting to say the least because new research says that this is very concerning and experts report that children are being kept awake at night by electronic media and in return they experience mood and cognitive problems like learning difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression and anxiety.

Please let us know how many texts you send a day and how many of those text messages are done during bedtime.
