Android Low End Devices to Gain Angry Birds Lite

Currently the popular multi mobile platform mobile game from Rovio Angry Birds is mainly for high end smartphones, but Rovio isn’t satisfied with this and thus are apparently going to launch an Angry Birds Lite version for low end Android handsets.

According to an article over on Daily Mobile, Rovio will launch Angry Birds Lite for Android devices that have 550 to 600 Mhz processors as the last update caused visible lags in gameplay.

Apparently Rovio are working on the new lite version of Angry Birds for the next update and at the moment Android devices such as the HTC Wildfire, HTC Tattoo, HTC Magic/Sapphire/myTouch 3G, HTC Hero/T-Mobile G2 Touch, HTC Dream, Droid Eris, T-Mobile G1, Samsung Transform, Samsung Spica/i5700, Samsung Moment/M900, Samsung Acclaim, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini, LG Ally/Aloha/VS740, LG GW620/Eve, and the Huawei Ideos/U8150 are all not officially supported.

The new lighter version of Angry Birds won’t mean light on gameplay or fewer levels but will be a version that is optimised for Android handsets with less processing power.
