Droid Bionic Possible New Release Data And Price

Phones Review Quickie: Well we all know the constant delays with the release of the Motorola Droid Bionic have been annoying to those waiting patiently to grab the Android smartphone on the Big Red network, and although just about everything to do with the handset is now known the only thing remaining is how much it will cost, and that may be put to rest today.

According to an article over on Android Central, at least on Big Red store has taken delivery of the Motorola Droid Bionic as they have come across a document listing the presumably Android Gingerbread handset, I say presumably because in all the specs I’ve seen for the device they all just mention Android OS, and I can’t see Motorola releasing the Bionic with anything less than Gingerbread can you?

Anyway back to the matter at hand, in the document the cost of the Droid Bionic is mentioned, which is $587, presumably before any discounts and such, so one could expect to shell out less when signing on for the usual two-year term, but just how much that will be remains to be seen.

The guys do suggest a possible contact price of around $249, hoping Verizon doesn’t opt for the $299 mark, a figure that could possibly turn customers away from the Droid Bionic to something else.

Then the guys have come up with a possible new release date for the smartphone albeit unofficial, originally it was said by Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha that the Motorola Droid Boinic would release in September; however according to their sources they say that the 26th of this month now looks a real possibility.

So there you have it, obviously all is unconfirmed and should be treated as such, but if all pans out to be spot on the way for the Droid Bionic could be over before you expect it. However if that price stays at $587, will it deter you from finally picking up the very much-delayed Motorola Droid Bionic?
