Android Gingerbread HTC Runnymede More Spec and Pricing

A couple of days ago we posted an article concerning a new Android smartphone coming from the HTC camp called the HTC Runnymede, and now it appears that more details on the device have surfaced along with some pricing for the handset, and a question, are there two HTC Runnymede versions?

According to an article over on Ubergizmo, the guys over at Android Guys have in their possession a document detailing more specifications and pricing on the new HTC Runnymede.

The original specs are, a 4.7-inch touch screen, an 8 megapixel camera with dual flash, 720p video, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera for your video calls, have the same CPU as the HTC Flyer, a 1.5GHz single core MSM8255, 758MB RAM and 16GB storage, latest HTC user interface, HTC Sense 3.5, feature DNLA connectivity, and a pair of Beats headphones, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

The new specs reveal that the HTC Runnymede will come in both 16GB and 32GB models, feature the HTC Listen music store with over 6 million songs, and the pricing for the two models.

That pricing is as follows, the 16GB version will cost £499 SIM free and will be a free handset on a £40 per month two-year contract, and the 32GB model will cost £530 SIM free and will cost £49 per month on the same two-year agreement.

Obviously the currency would seem to acknowledge that the HTC Runnymede would be coming to the UK at some point in the future although just when that will be remains a mystery, as does if the HTC Runnymede will be releasing in any other market.

However, and here’s why asked the question in the opening paragraph, the document for the Android handset is titled “HTC Runnymede 2” rather than HTC Runnymede, so could this simply be just a typo on the doc, or could there already be a successor to the as yet unannounced HTC Runnymede?
