iOS compatible Jawbone Up wristband release date and price

Back early last month we reported on a new health monitoring iOS accessory coming from Jawbone, an iOS compatible wristband accessory called the Jawbone UP, which syncs to your iOS device via its 3.5mm jack and uses the free Jawbone UP app, but what we didn’t know back then was just when you would be able to get the accessory or for how much.

However that info has now been made available, and according to the guys over at Slash Gear, the health conscious motion tracking Jawbone Up wristband will become available to purchase as of the 6th of this month and command a price tag of $99.99.

As for the Jawbone Up app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and Apple iPad, well that is available to download to your chosen iOS device as of right now as a free download from iTunes.

With the Up app and UP wristband the user can track sleep, awake time, overall sleep quality, deep sleep against light sleep, steps, distance, pace, intensity level, calories burned, take images and create a journal of eating habits.

The Jawbone Up wristband is water resistant, and features a rechargeable battery that last for up to 10 days, and features a vibration motor and motion sensors for reminding the user when to move rather than remaining inactive.

The Jawbone Up wristband will be available in 3 sizes and 7 colour options for you to choose from, bright blue, bright silver, bright red, bright white, dark brown, dark red, and dark black.

And just so you can check out just what the Jawbone UP is all about we have a short promo video of the iOS accessory for your viewing pleasure below, so done forget to hit that play button and check it out.

So we’d love to know if any of our health conscious readers out there will be picking up the Jawbone UP and if so please feel free to let us know how you get on with the new device.
