TinyUmbrella iOS 5.0.1 update: save your SHSH blobs

I’m sure most of the iOS faithful out there has heard of TinyUmbrella, the tool that enables an iPhone user to save SHSH blobs so they can downgrade their device to a previous firmware, well now the word is that TinyUmbrella has received an update.

According to the guys over at iDownload Blog, TinyUmbrella has now received an update that delivers support for the latest release of the Apple operating system, iOS 5.0.1.

Unfortunately though as you are probable aware, at present there is no way to downgrade the firmware on the iPhone 4S because apparently Apple now signs the firmware during the restore process.

TinyUmbrella says, even thought there is no current solution for restoring iOS 5x on an iPhone 4S, they have still released the update so users can at a minimum still save 5.0.1 SHSH blobs although as of right now you are unable to use them fully but the guys will update as soon as more info becomes available.

Personally I’m not an iPhone 4S user as I prefer Android so this doesn’t really effect me, but apparently saving your SHSH blogs is a good option even if you use the iPhone 4S as one never knows just what the future holds and as the old saying goes, it’s better safe than sorry.

So there you have it iOS fans, TinyUmbrella can now save your iOS 5.0.1 SHSH blobs all you need to do is hit up TinyUmbrella and download the latest version.
