Ice Cream Sandwich playing nice on Samsung Galaxy S: video

So old Sammy recently confirmed their update list for Galaxy devices that will gain Android Ice Cream Sandwich, but missing from that list is the Samsung Galaxy S and word is old Sammy wont be updating the Galaxy S to ICS in the foreseeable future. However the Android community have come to the rescue with a stable ROM release of Android 4.0 for the Galaxy S, and we have video evidence of it in action for your viewing pleasure below.

The Samsung Galaxy S running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich video comes our way courtesy of the guys over at GSMArena, and shows that the guys over at XDA-developers have indeed ported Ice Cream Sandwich to the Samsung Galaxy S.

Obviously there are certain requirements to get Android Ice Cream Sandwich playing nice on your Galaxy S smartphone and you can grab all the necessary along with following a tutorial by heading on over to XDA-developers.

Also it comes with the usual disclaimer that if you do port ICS to the Galaxy S you will of course void any warranty and if you aren’t too sure what you are attempting you could end up damaging your handset.

Anyway, I’ll leave it right there and let you head on down to hit that play button to check out just how well the Ice Cream Sandwich port fairs on the Samsung Galaxy S, and if you do grab the ROM feel free to let us know how you get on.
