New Lenovo Android HDTV, smart mobile streaming

If you are into streaming media from your Android smartphone or tablet to an HDTV, although not really a mobile device we thought we’d let you know about a new HDTV from Lenovo, the Lenovo Idea TV, why? Well because this 55-inch HDTV runs on the Android platform.

According to the guys over at Gizmodo, the Lenovo Idea TV is 1080p and features an Android based screen that Lenovo has dubbed the “Sandwich Screen,” due to playing nice with Android Ice Cream Sandwich of course.

The Lenovo Idea TV packs a 1.5GHz dual core processor that makes moving from one game to another quite snappy and this television enables the user to wirelessly stream content from your smartphone, computer, tablet or other devices and Lenovo also give you 200GB of cloud storage.

Although an Android based HDTV one does have to think could this work much like the Apple TV and the iPhone, and syncing power between Android smartphone and TV will allow you to watch saved videos on your smartphone onto the big screen surely would mean your Android smartphone would have to be good enough to deliver pure streaming ability without any lag time and such?

However no doubt there are many out there that would love a 55-inch Android enabled HDTV for their streaming needs, unfortunately though for the moment at least this particular TV is only for China.
