iCADE 8-Bitty controller to change mobile gaming

During the Toy Fair 2012 a new game controller for Android and iOS devices made its appearance in the form of the iCADE 8-Bitty from ThinkGeek, the latest edition to the iCADE family, and is a little box type D-pad controller that apparently makes controlling games on your smartphone or tablet much easier.

According to the guys over at Ubergizmo, the iCADE 8-Bitty is the smaller sibling to the iCADE gaming cabinet, which arrived after the device was thought to be an April Fools Day joke.

Apparently the iCADE 8-Bitty works via Bluetooth and works with any iCADE compatible game, with a classic D-pad and button layout that delivers a kind of retro look and feel to your gaming.

Word is the iCADE 8-Bitty is battery powered and the final model will sport that D-pad along with eight buttons and is expected to become available in roughly a couple or months and will command a price tag of between $25 and $30.

And for those gamers out there that might be interested in the iCADE 8-Bitty controller we have a short hands-on video with the iCADE 8-Bitty and working on the Apple iPad for your viewing consideration below courtesy of YouTube user TheGadgetprince, so head on down and mash that play button to check it out.
