Playing PlayStation games on HTC devices 2012

The word is, other than Sony of course, one of the first mobile firms to gain PlayStation certification is HTC for their 2012 devices, and an announcement of this is expected fairly soon, perhaps even during Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona in a couple of week’s time, and of course this will enable HTC smartphone and tablet owners to get some PlayStation gaming action on.

The news that HTC will gain PlayStation certification for their 2012 devices comes by way of the guys over at Pocket-lint, who say the information has been confirmed, although they don’t say whom their source is.

Naturally when Pocket-lint contacted HTC about PlayStation certification for the 2012 devices, HTC came back with the usual response that they don’t comment on speculation and rumours.

Obviously if true, it will mean HTC 2012 device user will gain access to Sony PlayStation certified classic PSOne games such as Crash Bandicoot and more and would be a nice boost for HTC delivering a gaming focus along with their music focus via Beats Audio.

Don’t expect PlayStation certification to be awarded as soon as the announcement comes though because apparently the unnamed source has said it will be the second half on 2012 before the certification is awarded.

So if it turns out that HTC gains PlayStation certification for their devices, will this sway you in any way to consider an HTC device over another device?
