2013 Dodge Dart integrated wireless charging

So wouldn’t it be nice to be able to get into your car and charge your mobile phone without the necessity to plug in your device, well if you are contemplating purchasing the 2013 Dodge Dart that is due to make its debut in the second half of 2012, you will be able to charge your smartphone without the need of any unsightly wires.

According to the guys over at Phone Arena, Chrysler have now announced that the aforementioned vehicle will offer in-vehicle wireless charging of mobile devices such as the iPhone, MP3 players, all Droid devices and BlackBerry handsets by way of their Mopar division.

The mobile wireless charging accessory is seamlessly integrated into the well in front of the vehicle’s console and will come with a special case that will enable the mobile phone to be charged whenever the car is on.

The seamlessly integrated ‘power bin’ measures 8.27 x 9.5 x 3.25 inches and is situated just below the centre stack and features a built-in charging grid that is activated as soon as a user places their mobile device onto the grid and the unit is charged once the user turns on the vehicle.

The president and CEO of Mopar Chrysler Group, Pietro Gorlier says that their industry first in-vehicle wireless charging system is the perfect solution for customers that are always on the go.
