Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE sign-up for Bell Canada

While many regions are gearing up for the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S3 or waiting for the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update to land on the various versions of the Galaxy S2, we now have news that a sign-up page has appeared for the Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE for carrier Bell in Canada.

It was revealed back in February that the handset was set to land in Canada, and according to Mobile Syrup all that was known about the release at the time was a second quarter timeframe. Now the Galaxy S II HD has been given a ‘coming soon’ title on Bell and a sign up page. At the time of writing there is no information regarding an actual release date or prices, but at least Android fans know that another LTE compatible handset is almost here.

The carrier says in its description of the device that the smartphone is the only version of the hugely successful handset that features an HD display coupled with LTE data speeds. The display is a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED Plus unit that is powered by an impressive 1.5 GHz dual core processor, which according to Bell is capable of producing speeds of up to 75 Mbps.

Surprisingly the device will come running Android 2.3 Gingerbread but will at some point be upgraded to Android ICS 4.0. The device features an eight megapixel rear camera with a LED flash, and around the front is a two megapixel shooter. Video capture is capable of Full HD 1080p and other features include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard memory that is expandable to 32GB.

The battery is claimed to provide up to 4.5 hours of talk time with standby time claimed at a maximum of 11.5 days. Bundled with the device is a set of headphones, travel charger, and a USB cable. To find out more and to sign up for the handset click here.
