Nokia N9 MeeGo PR1.3 update promises quality improvements

It’s not all that often we have something to say on the Nokia N9 considering its operating system was basically dead before it arrived, however it does appear that Nokia isn’t quite ready to bury the MeeGo operating system just yet, as word is the Nokia N9 PR1.3 update is being pushed to the Nokia N9.

According to the guys over at Engadget, the MeeGo PR1.3 update release for the Nokia N9 delivers in excess of 1000 ‘quality improvements’ including Twitter, Facebook and mail, along with numerous small network and connectivity improvements.

Apparently the MeeGo PR1.3 update is rolling out over the air as of right now, kicking off with unbranded handsets and then spreading to other variants over the coming weeks, and weighs 203MB.

However, according to a Maemo.org forum thread, it appears that a large quantity of those ‘quality improvements’ are bug fixes. Although some do involve NFC fixes, better video decoding, camera feature enhancements, better copy and paste, and a higher volume, and they also have the official changelog, along with a user reported changelog, so if you wish to find out about all those 1000 ‘quality improvements’ you can do so by checking out the forum thread.
