ZTE Kis Android phone PAYG price is warming

If you are over here in the UK and on the lookout for a reasonably cheap budget Android smartphone on Pay As You Go, you might like to give the ZTE Kis Android handset some consideration. ZTE is basically known for providing carrier branded devices for such UK carriers as Orange, but they have now changed strategy, and released the ZTE Kis.

According to an article over on Recombu, the ZTE Kis is the company’s new budget Android handset with a very low PAYG price tag, but with that low price tag you can expect some modest smartphone specifications.

The ZTE Kis offers a 3.5-inch HVGA 320 x 480 resolution touch screen, a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus rear facing camera, 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM, and an 800MHz processor, microSD expansion up to 32GB, but you do get a 2GB microSD card included with the device, and the ZTE Kis runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, no word on whether the device will ever see an update to Android Ice Cream Sandwich though.

Apparently the ZTE Kis Android smartphone will be available exclusively to Virgin Media, and command a price tag of just £49.99, and for your cash Virgin Media will throw in 1GB of mobile data for free for every month for a year after purchase.

Does the ZTE Kis attract any of our budget conscious Pay As You Go Android readers out there, or does the ZTE Kis carry too low specs for your requirements?
