The Samsung Galaxy J7 was made official in the summer and the mid-range smartphone is proving pretty popular so far. Samsung Galaxy J7 battery life testing was carried out by Fone Arena and specifically concerned four categories, Talk Time, 3G Browsing, WiFi Browsing, and Video Playback. The results were noted and then entered on a table to compare them with the results from several other handsets in a similar price sector. Just a few of the other phones involved were the Lenovo K3 Note, Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, Xiaomi Mi 4i, Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, and Yu Yureka Plus.
In the Talk Time testing the Samsung Galaxy J7 achieved a time of 33 hours and 19 minutes (as shown in the table below). This put it right at the top of the table tied with the Meizu M2 Note and Lenovo A7000. The Coolpad Dazen X7 by comparison was in bottom spot on just 14 hours and 9 minutes.
For 3G Browsing the Galaxy J7 managed a time of 6 hours and 40 minutes, taking the first place from the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Dual, which was close behind on 6 hours and 39 minutes. The Xiaomi Mi 4i and Lenovo A7000 took the next spot, both attaining 5 hours. This time it was the Lenovo K3 Note in last place with only 3 hours and 42 minutes.
Moving on to WiFi Browsing (shown in the image below) the Galaxy J7 had a time of 8 hours and 20 minutes. Once more it took the winning position on the table. In joint second place were the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, Xolo Black, and Meizu M2 Note, all tied on 6 hours and 39 minutes. The Yu Yureka Plus was bottom on this occasion with 4 hours and 32 minutes.
The final test was for Video Playback and the Samsung Galaxy J7 ran up a time of 12 hours and 30 minutes. You guessed it, the phone came in first place on the chart yet again. Quite a way behind in joint second place were the Xiaomi Mi 4i and Coolpad Dazen X7 with a time of 11 hours and 7 minutes. This time it was the Xolo Black at the bottom of the table on just 6 hours and 39 minutes.
