Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is Geohot’s Next Jailbreak Target

Although Sony is going after iPhone Jailbreak master Geohot with their legal team over his jailbreaking of the Sony PS3, and Geohot asking for support in battling against the PlayStation giant, it would appear that Geohot isn’t going to pull in his guns.

According to an article over on Redmond Pie and by way of iSpazio, the iPhone hacker’s next jailbreak target is to be the first PlayStation phone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play smartphone, and wants to be the first person to crack the device once it sees release.

According to Geohot’s post to his website asking for support in the Sony battle, he states…” In fact, I want the opposite reputation set, that the more a company tries to abuse the legal system, the harder we rally back. I will be the first person in line on the launch date of the Xperia Play, and itching to get my hands on the Next GEOHOT Project.”

So going by this statement, Geohot isn’t prepared to back down from Sony and we just might see the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play being jailbroken in record time, just to teach Sony the lesson they so deserve, but do you think Geohot is right in going after the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, or should he cool it until the legal battle is over?
