LG G3 reported to have protective qualities

#

LG’s successor to the popular G2 smartphone is thought to be the LG G3, rumored for a release around June. Leaks and speculation about the device have been in plentiful supply, and just recently it has seemed increasingly likely that the G3 will have a QHD resolution display and we’ve also seen a concept idea.

Now a new report from Korean media says that the LG G3 is to add new protective qualities in the form of dustproofing and waterproofing. These capabilities are being seen in an increasing amount of top-end smartphones, with the trend being seen with the popular Sony Xperia Z and also appearing for a Galaxy S4 variant, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. It recently spread to Samsung’s main upcoming flagship, the newly announced Galaxy S5, which has IP67 certification standard for dust and water-resistance.

Therefore we wouldn’t be particularly surprised if LG does add these waterproof and dustproof qualities for the LG G3. If this new report out of Korea is accurate, it certainly seems as though it won’t be long until this is standard for smartphones at the top end of the market. Would this be a dealbreaker for you with the LG G3?
