O2 snatch 4000 business connections from Vodafone and Orange

O2 has been awarded a contract with Homeserve plc, they are a provider of home emergency services, and in gaining this award have taken 4000 business connections away from Vodafone and Orange.

The contract will see O2 provide mobile data and voice services covering three years, and as part of the service O2 is to route calls via a private network which will help reduce calling costs to Homeserve.

Business sales director at O2 UK, Ben Dowd, said: “Mobile technology can be used for so much more than simple communication. As a business, customer service is at our core and we are delighted to be working with Homeserve to help them provide the very best service to their customers.”

While Homeserve has stated that O2’s excellent United Kingdom network coverage was a significant factor in them selecting O2 as a mobile partner.
