Virgin launches new mobile broadband package

Virgin Mobile a little later than the rest, have launched today its mobile broadband package. The Virgin package will cost you £15 a month to use the mobile broadband, the launch comes after news yesterday that a dozen IT and mobile companies are getting together to create a laptop device that would allow you to connect to it “out of the box” which would increase the popularity of mobile broadband.

Mobile industry trade group GSM Association have created a service mark for mobile broadband that will be put on hardware which will allow access to the mobile web instantly after you purchase your hardware, the major companies involved in the project are Microsoft, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Dell and Toshiba.

Virgin is the last of the six UK largest mobile phone operators to offer the mobile broadband packages.
