Are we becoming an Apple iPhone orientated culture?
The Apple iPhone has become the technology symbol of todays “in crowd” but are these iPhoners stepping into the world of over-arrogance and excess? Proud iPhoner’s are showing off their Apple iPhones too excess with “my apps are cooler than your apps” contests and email footers with “sent from my iPhone.”
It’s not that surprising, they are proud to own the famous iPhone 3G, and see themselves as the “alpha dogs” of the mobile community. But the Apple iPhone’s impact is far greater than the “haves” and “have nots” culture because the iPhone actually changes how people interact with each other and their surroundings.
But it’s not just the Apple iPhone; with more and more iPhone-type handsets hitting the streets such as the T-Mobile G1 and the BlackBerry Storm, the idea of a siloed culture is neither far off nor far fetched.
