The Samsung Galaxy, Samsung’s Google Android platform smartphone has gained a hands-on review by pcworld, and says the Samsung Galaxy is the closest thing yet to the Apple iPhone 3G.

The Samsung Galaxy features a 3.2 AMOLED touch screen along with a physical QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, GPS, WiFi, support for WCDMA networks, 7.2Mbps HSPA, and a standard audio jack.

The reviewer was impressed with the Samsung Galaxy’s slimness being both slimmer than the Apple iPhone 3G and the HTC Magic. The Samsung Galaxy will be available in Germany and France by the end of this month and will become available elsewhere in the 2nd half of the year.
