Nokia Ovi has only been active for about 8 months now and already Nokia has announced that 1 millionth Ovi Mail accounts have been created reports GSMArena.

It seems the reason the Nokia Ovi service is so popular because of the ease and quickness to set up an account via your mobile phone with no need to access a computer.

Nokia statistic shows that of the million, 650,000 users have created their account direct from their mobile phone. Ovi Mail is a free service which has been targeted toward developing countries where computer access is less prevalent.
