Palm Financial Results: 810,000 handsets sold but still at a loss

Palm has stated they have adjusted losses of $168 million for the last 3 months with revenues down some 82 percent on the same period the previous year to $68 million. Although adjusted for one tome costs Palm has stated they have had loses of $13.6 million on revenues of $360 million reports The Guardian.

In the last quarter, Palm sold some 810,000 mobile phones whit the majority being the Palm Pre smartphone. Analyst’s forecasts expected losses of $35 million from $297 million and roughly 500,000 mobile phones sold.

Jon Rubinstein, Palm chief exec has said he is pleased with the progress Palm has made in recent months and they Palm intend to launch more smartphones carrying the Palm webOS software in the future.
