Truphone prepares service for Googles Android Nexus One

Voip provider Truphone have recently reported that they are preparing for its service for Google’s Nexus One Android phone which was launched 5th January.

This follows on from the companies announcement that they will be spreading its Wi-Fi based platform over a period of time to Android phones. The service by Truphone is currently available f9or Nokia, Apple and BlackBerry handsets.

HTC’s G1’s, Magic and Hero models are already operating on Truphone. The application is available as a free download via Android Market.

A spokesman from the company has said that the current applications are available for GSM based phones such as AT&T and T-Mobile in the US however the company are working on developing the service for CDMA phones such as Verizon Wireless and Sprint also in the US. Source – informationweek.com
