It seems that for now anyways, the next generation Storm, the BlackBerry Storm 3 and its specs are somewhat secret and only giving way to the odd rumour, and apparently one such current rumour is that the BlackBerry Storm 3 will sport its own operating system

That a totally unique new OS for the Storm 3 not BlackBerry OS 6 according to an article by Chuong Nguyen over on Pocket Now who gains the speculation by way of Blackberry Cool.

Further rumour has it that the BlackBerry Storm 3 will powered by the Big Red’s 4G LTE network and will comes packing a 1GHz processor, Synaptic’s touch screen tech, and 8GB of internal memory.

Other rumour has it that the BlackBerry Storm 3 is actually being tested in a “secret beta” and has even been disguised as a BlackBerry Storm 2, presumably so that people don’t realise what they’ve got; memories of a certain iPhone 4 prototype sprint to mind there, is seems Research In Motion really wants to keep the Storm 3 under tight wraps for the time being.
