Rogers Samsung Galaxy Spica, HTC Magic+ Gains Android 2.1

Over in the great white of Canada, if you are a Rogers Wireless customer packing the Samsung Galaxy Spica or HTC Magic+ smartphone and have been patiently waiting for the Android 2.1 update to drop, your wait is finally over.

According to an article over on Engadget Mobile by Chris Ziegler has it that a couple of tweets, one from @RogersBuzz, and another from @RogersMary, have announced the OTA rollout of Android 2.1 to the HTC Magic+ and Samsung Galaxy Spica.

Albeit Rogers being somewhat late to the party with Android 2.1 as the international Samsung Galaxy Spica gained Android 2.1 way back in March.

Apparently the update to the HTC Magic+ isn’t’ a problem as it’s over the air,, but when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Spica, users will be required to access a Windows computer, download the binary code and use a cable to complete the process.
