For those eager mobile gamers out there that are patiently awaiting the first ever PlayStation phone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play to come out and play we have a little visual treat for your eyes today with a hands on video with the Android smartphone.

The guys of Intomobile attended the GDC 2011 conference where they managed to get some hands on playtime with the first PlayStation certified smartphone and of course we have that video hands on for your viewing pleasure.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play video delivers seven minutes of learning all about what the gaming smartphone has to offer potential gamers. The Intomobile guy’s say that the device looks like a solid smartphone in the closed position, although apparently when you rotate and slide out the D-pad the standard screens don’t rotate.

The guys say that the Android 2.3 Gingerbread toting Sony Ericsson Xperia Play gamepad buttons are responsive without being “too stiff” and feel like they can stand up to a fair amount of battering.
