Speedy T-Mobile: To release HTC, LG & Samsung 42Mbps smartphones

Speedy T-Mobile is trying to pull back some power this year, and it can do by releasing new 42Mbps HSPA+ smartphones. This year of 2011 the likes of HTC, LG & Samsung will supply T-Mobile with these handsets.

T-Mobile USA launched the 42Mbps HSPA+ mobile Internet-access services across 152 local markets so it makes sense to launch, release and then sell dedicated 42Mbps-enabled smartphones, this is going to happen in the second half of 2011 according to DiGiTimes.

HTC, LG and Samsung are going to be the manufacturers, at the moment there are more than 30 42Mbps HSPA+ operating successfully in Europe, Middle East, US, Australia and South Africa, but devices are limited to mobile networks such as mobile routers and mobile data cards, so to bring out 42Mbps HSPA+ smartphones is the sensible option.

T-Mobile has already launched 10 mobile device-featuring 21Mbps back in 2010, and 2011 will see faster and better handsets.

If you think about it the HTC Sensation 4G and the myTouch 4G Slide is already being shipped to T-Mobile by HTC. However, the HTC Sensation 4G can only offer up to 14.4 Mbps download speed and up to 5.76 Mbps upload speed, so the new smartphones that will quote 42Mbps HSPA+ is something that we cannot wait for, hurry up already.

There is nothing more to go on by way of information, but we will keep you updated. Whilst we sit here and wait for more news about speedy T-Mobile releasing HTC, LG & Samsung 42Mbps smartphones, how about guessing a few names for the devices.

More news about T-Mobile: Earlier on today we told you about T-Mobile and its new micro-SIM card that is compatible with Apple iPhones and iPads, this prompted us to ask the question “Is T-Mobile getting the iPhone?”

We know that the iPhone 5 is coming soon and that there are talks on the T-Mobile and AT&T merger, if AT&T buys T-Mobile then is is a definite that there will be an AT&T iPhone 5 and of course the T-Mobile iPhone 5 also.
