ZTE Engage Cricket Sub-$250 price coming October 2

If you are over in the good old US of A, and your preferred carrier happens to be Cricket, and you are currently in the market for a new Android 4.0 smartphone off contract, you just might like to know that the ZTE Engage handset will become available on Cricket in a few days time.

According to a report over on Engadget, the ZTE Engage smartphone is coming exclusively to Cricket next Tuesday the 2nd of October and will command a very reasonable price tag of $249.99 off contract, and will be available to purchase both online and in stores.

The ZTE Engage offers the user a 4-inch WVGA touch screen along with an 8 megapixel rear facing snapper with LED flash, and VGA front facing camera, a Qualcomm Scorpion 1.4GHz processor, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, a 1900mAh battery, microSD expansion up to 32GB, and runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Cricket ZTE Engage also offers Cricket’s Muve Music service, with subscribers gaining access to unlimited downloads of their favourite music, along with accessing exclusive artist commentary, music and video via Muve First and Muve Headlinger.

The senior vice president of devices at Cricket, Matt Stoiber has said that the ZTE Engage is impressive at any price, and will be a ‘WOW’ device for Cricket customers, and a great addition to our smartphone lineup.
