iPhone 6 dummies could show design hints

#

Speculation about the Apple iPhone 6 is really ramping up now, with a growing amount of leaks over the last few weeks. One of the most persistent rumors concerns the next premium iPhone having a larger display, and now some iPhone 6 dummy prototypes could give us some design hints of the phone.

Typically we see early cases for an upcoming smartphone reveal the designs of the device ahead of an official announcement, as accessory makers need to be prepared with the right sizing so that cases can be ready in time for a release. These new prototype molds showed up on a Japanese accessory website, and although there is no way of verifying if these are genuine iPhone 6 dummies, they do appear to fit with earlier leaks.

The prototypes are clearly taller than the format of the iPhone 5S, but interestingly they don’t seem to be too much wider. The iPhone 6 is thought to have much slimmer bezels and so it does look as though the larger display that has been touted so often is very likely. Other recent leaks have concerned the camera, new graphics architecture and the prospect of new sensors.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for further developments on the iPhone 6 and will keep readers informed. If these iPhone 6 dummy molds are indeed the real deal, would you be happy about this size for the next iPhone?
