LG G3 processor likely to be quad core Snapdragon

#

We have been hearing a number of rumours leading up to the launch of the LG G3 in the coming months, and it now seems more likely that the device will feature a quad core Snapdragon processor instead of the in house Octa core unit.

Previous rumours have suggested that the LG G3 would be powered by the LG made Octa core Odin processor, but now a new report is claiming that the chip is about to enter full production. It is claimed that LG is partnering with TSMC to produce the processor using the 28nm manufacturing process.

It is now being claimed that the processor will be used by the company to power its lower cost mobile devices, so won’t be used in the flagship LG G3. This would surely mean the handset would possibly feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801.
