The Huawei Honor 6 Plus is Official, price starts at $320

#

The Huawei Honor 6 Plus has shown up in benchmarks and last week the company teased us all with the Honor 6 release date. Well, today they’ve gone and made things official, and we’re going to give you the final word on the Huawei Honor 6 Plus specs.

The draw of the Huawei Honor 6 Plus is its low price and dual-camera setup. That said, the rest of the Huawei Honor 6 Plus specs are outstanding as the 5.5-inch smartphone sports an FHD display and an octa-core Kirin 925 SoC. You’ll also find 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage and a large 3,600mAh battery under the hood.

The rear camera on the Huawei Honor 6 Plus is the star of the show, and the setup consists of two 8MP sensors. The tech is called “Symmetrical dual camera technology” and it basically lets you take 13MP shots with those two sensors. This allows it to focus faster, take better shots in low-light conditions and lets you pull of some depth-of-field or bokeh tricks. It’s fancy, and there’s a front-facing 5MP snapper to boot.

The Huawei Honor 6 Plus will come in two flavors — one with 4G LTE and the other without. The dual-SIM 4G version of the Honor 6 Plus is priced at CNY 2,499 or about $400 bucks while the dual-SIM 3G variant goes for CNY 1,999 or $320. It’s a great price for an unlocked handset, and pre-orders begin tomorrow from Huawei.
