Microsoft Lumia 640 XL price cut for US buyers

#

The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL released in 2015 and has been a popular mid-range Windows Phone phablet. If you hadn’t got round to purchasing it yet but are still interested, we have some interesting news for you. There’s currently a Microsoft Lumia 640 XL price cut for US buyers, but you might need to be quick as we’re not sure how long it will last.

The Lumia 640 XL is a larger version of the Lumia 640 and has a 5.7-inch display rather than 5-inches. It released running Windows Phone 8.1 but it’s likely to be among the first to receive the Windows 10 Mobile update so that’s worth bearing in mind. On the official Microsoft Store the usual unlocked Microsoft Lumia 640 XL price is $299, but currently it’s reduced to $249 offering a tasty $50 saving.

Specs of the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL include a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, Adreno 305 graphics, and a 5.7-inch display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720 (259 ppi). It has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable to 128GB via microSD), and is juiced by a removable 3000 mAh battery. There’s a main 13-megapixel camera on the rear with LED flash and 1080p video capture, while up front you’ll find a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

The handset measures 157.9mm x 81.5mm x 9mm and weighs 171g. We should say that it’s not the first time we’ve seen price reductions for this phone but this one is current. As we said at the top, it’s not clear how long this Microsoft Lumia 640 XL price cut will last. That’s worth remembering if you want to take advantage of this nice saving.
