Asus Zenfone 3 Laser priced at Rs. 18,999 for India release

#

Asus is unleashed a slew of devices for India today, but we’re going to start with one — the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser. The handset is gearing up to drop next month, and will set you back Rs. 18,999.

As the name implies, the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser is the follow-up to the Zenfone 2 Laser, which made its debut last year. That handset saw a wide release well beyond India’s borders and had some pretty solid specs given its price tag. Well, we are pleased to say the same can be said for the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser although it’s a bit more pricey than its predecessor.

If you’re familiar with Asus’s design language, you’ll feel right at home with the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser. It looks like it belongs in the Zen lineup and sports a metal unibody and a thin profile measuring 149mm x 76mm x 7.9mm and has a weight of 150grams. As for the specs, we think you’ll be pleased…

  • 5-inch 1,920 x 1,080 display with 2.5D curved glass
  • Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 32GB of expandable internal storage
  • 13MP Sony IMX214 rear camera with Dual-Tone LED flash and Laser AF
  • 8MP front-facing camera
  • Fingerprint scanner, Hybrid Dual SIM, Bluetooth 4.1 GPS, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE
  • 3,000mAh battery
  • Android 6.0 w/ Zen UI 2.0

The Asus Zenfone 3 Laser are on the flagship level, even if its display keeps it out of that realm for most folks. That said, compared to the Zenfone 2 laser, everything under the hood has been upgraded aside from the battery, which makes it worth a look if you want to upgrade or skipped the last model.

No firm release date has been set for the Asus Zenfone 3 Laser, but it will arrive next month in September though Amazon.in, Flipkart and other leading retailers in the region. The Asus Zenfone 3 Laser price is set at Rs. 18,999, which shakes out to around $283 in the states.
