Nokia Lumia 1030 design features 20 MP selfie camera

#

It’s often interesting to look ahead to future devices and get some ideas of what could be offered, and that’s the case with the Nokia Lumia 1030 render that we are showing today. This cameraphone concept has been created based on recent Lumia models and the Lumia 1030 design features a 20-megapixel selfie camera.

This concept render has the usual rectangular form factor, and is probably made of polycarbonate with a metal frame. What is more unusual is the camera set-up. Although there are an increasing amount of smartphones now with selfie-front facing cameras, the idea of a 20-megapixel one is pretty outrageous, and it also features a periscope-system.

Combined with this is a 41-megapixel rear camera capable of 4K video capture or 1080p@120fps and what looks like Xenon and LED flash. The large camera area appears to protrude out of the handset.

This concept Lumia 1030 also comes with specs of a Snapdragon 810 processor, 5-inch Full HD display, storage options of 32, 64 or 128GB, and a 2800 mAh battery and also includes USB 3.1. One odd touch is that the Windows keys are still capacitive rather than virtual. What is unclear is whether the designer has purely imagined these specs or whether they are based on leaks.

We’ve included a couple of the images here and you can see more at the source link below. Would you like to see a future Nokia flagship similar to this Lumia 1030 design? We’re always interested to hear your opinions so do let us have your comments.

interesting device, looks a bit brick like though, of course i know its just a render, what the designer should have remembered though is that the nokia branding is being eliminated isnt it? so NOKIA will no longer feature on the phone, it is going under microsoft branding right?

  3. Saulius says:

all color tones are crappy! and design is worthless! I don’t know what is wrong with nokia/microsoft designers???!
the only good thing is, that you will not have any hesitations about hiding it in defender case:)))

  4. Checkoff says:

Just give the 1020 a better battery and a snapdragon 805, and its fine. Ok, maybe SD card support.
It dont has to be ANOTHER 5″ or bigger device! There are many people hating those big phones…
1020 is a great phone, just battery and cpu should be improved.

No seriously I would not buy into this aluminium design, i rather hate/dislike it. Appearance wise its nice but to hold, not so much. and the design still requires a camera grip to be added otherwise its a step backward in convenience for users that like the concept of the battery camera grip. Also in software it should have F stop adjustment.

  6. Lorence says:

1020 screen size 4.5″ is enough for me. they should focus on the camera bump and have specs similar/better to their latest models like 930 and 1520. That’s my preference though.

  7. Finlay MacArthur says:

It’s pretty obvious what the 1030 will look like, i’ll be a 930 with a the 41Mp camera stuck on the back. As the 1020 was the 920 with the 41Mp camera stuck on the back.

  8. nok nok says:

do realise, any phone coming won’t have the Nokia name on it anymore. Which means I won’t be buying it. I have the 1020, i think i’ll have it with me for years to come. at least another 2. just can’t put it down.
