I-Mate JAMA 201 Specifications: Release date November 2007

I-Mate JAMA 201 mobile phone is based on Windows Mobile 6 and comes with tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, the I-Mate JAMA 201 is pretty impressive in a sense and with a 2.5 inch color TFT display with full hardware QWERTY keyboard things are looking good so far.

The I-Mate JAMA 201 is powered by a 300 MHz Samsung processor with 64MB RAM, it also features stereo Bluetooth A2DP, microSD memory card slot but sadly does not have either Wi-Fi or UMTS support.

    Worst. PDA. Ever.

I have deployed 30 of these at work. 5 were faulty. 1 falls over every day. Some lock up and have to go back, others need to have the battery and SIM removed before they will start again. Appalling battery life and worst of all, inserting the battery tears the “warranty void if broken” sticker. Avoid like the plague.

I have Imate Jama 201, I was not able to access the keypad, right now it was locked. Normally we have to press "unlock" and "*" to open lock, but I couldn’t open. Several times I tried restart by removing the battery. Any suggestions…
