Following on behind the FCC, the Global Certification Forum has now certified the new Android 2.1 packing Google Nexus One reports an article over on the::unwired.

It has been confirmed that the Nexus One is quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 900/1700/2100 MHz and apparently only supports T-Mobile USA UMTS band and Asia and Europe UMTS bands but no UMTS bands for AT&T.

Popular word has it that the Google Nexus One will see launch on January the 5th 2010 which isn’t that far away to find our if said rumour is true or not.

Also it will be interesting to see if other than T-Mobile, Google begin offering the Nexus One themselves as reported by some.
