CES 2010: Pioneer in-car entertainment platform compatible with Apple iPhone

Pioneer were in Las Vegas at CES 2010 and while there they showed off their in-car entertainment system which apparently delivers a full colour console along with controls for users of the iPhone and iPod reports an article over on itproportal.

The system is called the Pioneer AVH series and the top of the line model is known as the P4200DVD and will apparently will playback DVD video via the vehicles audio system and layout.

Furthermore although the Pioneer system will play back music from DVDs and CDs, some Pioneer AVH units will be able to link via Bluetooth to the user’s iPhone, iPod Touch and iPod and a special control panel will enable the user to control their iPhone and iPod and also show available artists, songs and albums.

The Pioneer AVH also features Sirius/XM Satellite Radio and HD Radio, and also features Pioneer’s own navigation platform. The system is scheduled for release sometime in March commanding a price tag of $450 up to $700.
