iPhone and Nexus One come up trumps in touchscreen tests

Here we have a rather interesting article from the guys over at pocket-lint.com via labs.moto.com in relation to some testing that has been carried out on touchscreens.

Moto Labs have done some intensive testing on whether a touchscreen is a touchscreen and despite the manufacturer it turns out it’s not.

Applying medium amounts of pressure in a grid like pattern to a range of touchscreens on the iPhone, the HTC Droid Eris, the Motorola Droid, Google Nexus One, Palm Pre and BlackBerry Storm then there were the results. Quite obviously the iPhone came out by far the best followed by the Nexus One ands the HTC Eris.

What turned up to be a little surprising was that the Motorola Droid came out quite poor but in another test with lighter pressure came second to last to the BlackBerry Storm 2. It is predicted that the low end is going to catch up fast.
