We mentioned not so long ago about multitasking coming to iPhone OS 4.0, and yes this is official thanks to the event happening right now, but we do have some bad news.

This is quite devastating news if you own the Apple iPhone 3G, the new multitasking feature will one be added to the iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G, anything below 3G will not support the multitask feature, which is a right kick in the teeth.

Steve Jobs said that the hardware does not support it; please do read our article about multitasking.
