Verizon Wireless Releasing 5 New LTE Handsets by May 2011

Verizon Wireless seems to be taking over the world with new smartphone releases, and they are already testing its new LTE (Long Term Evolution) network out.

Verizon is hoping to provide LTE to around 100 million people in 25 to 30 markets and they are planning on releasing 5 new LTE-Based handsets by May 2011, these cell phones will sell via Verizon Wireless, according to Reuters the front runners for these handsets will include LG, Motorola and RIM.

The Verizon Motorola Droid is selling very well indeed and the HTC Incredible seems to be doing very well as well, the HTC Incredible sales would have been a lot higher if it wasn’t for the lack of parts.

We cannot wait to hear what these 5 LTE handsets will be called, of course and like usual we will keep you posted. We will keep a close eye on this one; whilst we sit and wait please do come up with a few names that you suggest these handsets be called.
