HTC EVO 4G Gains Flash 10.1 without Root and Froyo

The HTC EVO 4G smartphone does Adobe Flash, but only as Flash Lite, so you don’t actually get the full Flash experience as you would with Adobe Flash 10.1; however apparently that is now about to change.

According to a Blake Stimac article over on Intomobile, HTC EVO 4G owners can now download Flash 10.1 player to the device and begin experiencing full flash on the device, and furthermore your handset doesn’t require rooting or Android 2.2 Froyo.

And apparently its all thanks to the work of the guys over at XDA-Devlopers, only thing is according to some of the comments posted to the forum, this doesn’t appear to work on all devices, but apparently does work well on the HTC EVO 4G.

However, Stimac updated his original post stating that they tried to get this on an HTC EVO 4G, a HTC Hero, and a T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide and simply couldn’t get it to work at all and still loads Flash Lite. Still I guess it’s worth giving it a shot if you have an HTC EVO 4G.
