Motorola Droid X Update Coming Today from Verizon

For those Droid fans out there that have purchased the Motorola Droid X, keep your eyes open as of today as the Big Red will apparently start rolling out an update to the Droid smartphone as of today the 19th of July.

According to Kelly Hodgkins over on the Boy Genius Report, Verizon Wireless starts rolling out an over the air update to the Motorola Droid X device today which apparently will hit devices over the next several days.

Apparently the Droid X update is version 1.13.604.MB810.Verizon.en.US/Baseband: BP_C01.09.04P, and said update will include enhancements and improvements such as…

Smoother transition for camera and camcorder functions, improved battery charging status indicator, faster Exchange ActiveSync® email loading, redesign of weather widget icons, organized favourite contacts by call count, streamlined organization of newly downloaded applications, cleaner looking status bar for GPS symbol, improved sync capabilities for 3G Mobile Hotspot.

Also, updated Bluetooth connection for enhanced video sharing experience, faster Visual Voice Mail loading, coordinated date and time across phone displays, preloaded Amazon Kindle application lets you read Kindle books on your AndroidTM phone, including thousands of free books, and take advantage of the enhanced, preloaded My Verizon application.
