TomTom for iPhone Gets Updated With New Features

Navigation giant TomTom has apparently released an update for their TomTom for iPhone application and now take full advantage of the new iPhone 4 Retina Display, so if you use TomTom for iPhone you can now grab the updated version.

According to an article over on T3, by Thomas Tamblyn, the most prominent new feature is probably what is called Navigate-to-photo, a feature that utilises geo-tagging so the app can navigate the user back to where they snapped the photo.

Apparently the tech has been around a while but integrating it into the updated TomTom App for iPhone becomes a nice way of navigating back to that particular park, shop or pub you took an image of.

The balance of the update revolves around optimisations for the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch so the use should gain better quality graphics, improved smoothness and quicker loading maps, and naturally the new update comes with all the necessary HD traffic, Advanced Lane Guidance and IQ Routes.
