Android 2.2.1 Update for Motorola Droid X Leaked

For those Motorola Droid X who would like some Android 2.2.1 OS along with MotoBlur on their smartphone you can now grab it and flash it to your smartphone in just a couple of minutes.

Apparently this update is the same Android 2.2.1 version seen running on the Motorola Droid previously although now comes with MotoBlur on top according to the guys over at Droid-life and by way of My Droid World

The Android 2.2.1 version is for rooted Droid X handsets only and is apparently a “semi-risky process,” thus you download and use at your own risk, and can download it from Megaupload.

Apparently once done it will update the system to version 2.3.20, but there is a warning attached that they do not have an SBF file for the version of Blur which means if anything untoward happens after upgrading you will not be able to make a complete wipe with an older SBF file, and any attempt to do so with brick your device.

So there it is, sounds a tad risky to me but if you want to give it a go download it at your own risk, and let us know how you get on.
